What is the Kids Market?

We're thrilled to announce our first-ever Kids Market at the Georgetown Farmers Market! This special event is all about giving young creators, makers, and performers (ages 15 and under) a fun and welcoming space to share their talents with the community.

Whether you're crafty, creative, or love to entertain, this is a chance to gain experience, learn new skills, and have fun doing it!

Who Can Participate?

This opportunity is open to children aged 15 or younger who are new to selling or participating in markets. Each young vendor must be accompanied by a caregiver aged 18+ for the duration of the event.

There is no cost to participate, but all vendors must apply and be approved by the Market Manager.

What Can You Sell or Do?

Here are just a few fun ideas to inspire you:

✅ Products:

• Handmade jewellery
• Crochet or knit items
• Stuffed animals or toys
• Slime or homemade crafts
• Greeting cards or artwork

✅ Services:

• Face painting
• Balloon animals
• Short poems or storytelling

✅ Perform:

• Busk as a singer, musician, dancer, or other performer — and earn tips from patrons!

What You Need to Know:

• Each vendor will get 3 feet of table space (half of a regular market table)
• Bring a sign with your business name
• Ensure you have a good amount of your product or service ready for the day
• No selling of food, drinks, or consumable products allowed
• No reselling of items you didn’t make or change in some way
• This opportunity is for first-timers only—no professionals, please!

How to Apply:

Fill out the application form honestly and completely. All applications must be submitted by July 4 and will be reviewed by the Farmers Market Manager. Approved vendors will be contacted by email with further details.
