Rodyna means Family.We were both born in 1973 to large immigrant European Families. We were surrounded by large gatherings, full of noise, laughter and singing, and always with the most delicious food. Different times of the year meant different foods were prepared in large quantities to last until the next year and always made in the downstairs kitchen or the garage - Sausages in January, Pickles in July and August, Tomato Sauce in September. Along with that there was always an abundance of Perogies and Sauerkraut throughout the year. We started Rodyna, which means Family in Ukrainian, to honour our family traditions using the recipes that were passed to us from our Grandparents, Parents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Everything we make is hand made in the same way that we grew up with. From hand rolling and pinching our perogies to dehydrating peppers for paprika in our sausages everything we do is just the way it was taught to us, or how we figured it out from listening while crouching under the dining room table while the adults were talking.  We would like you to feel like you are part of our family, from a friendly wave, a nice chat, a special treat, and of course the care we put into the food that we make. We hope that our products remind you of the foods you grew up with too.]]>https://downtowngeorgetown.com/briskit-bbqThu, 30 Jul 2026 11:22:00 -0400
