The business started Oct. 15, 1885 and had been in operation for about 29 years prior to Andy Dale joining the firm.  However, Andy Dale was the first Mayor of the Town of Georgetown in 1922 and he served as Mayor for several years in the 1920's.  Also his subsequent law parner was the first full time women lawyer in Georgtown and she was the first woman to be a member of the Peel Law Association. The roots of the current business date from May 1914 when LeRoy (Andy) Dale started to practice in Georgetown and 2014 was the 100th anniversary of the legal practice. A far more detailed history with photos can be found on their website.

In 1934, this building was part of the O’Neil block and was listed as a car garage. The property and surrounding block suffered a major fire in 1920. By 1923, most of the block was rebuilt.  The original building can be found on an 1895 map of the downtown, but it is not know when it was originally constructed.
