On July 22, 2016, a Pokemon Go session took place. Starting with a short walking tour of Downtown Georgetown to see where PokeStops and Gyms are located, and why they mean different things to the businesses surrounding them. Following the tour, everyone headed back to the BIA/Chamber boardroom to discuss best practices on dealing with “Pokemon Trainers” and how to make them your newest customers!
Have a look at the handout that was distributed. There are suggestions on how to make Pokemon Go work for you. It can show you the lingo and engage your customers when they come in to speak with you. There are a couple of examples from Heather's Bakery and the Georgetown Pharmacy.
Soon there will be apps to connect the game to Fitbits and smart watches.
