(Georgetown, ON, June 11, 2013.) The world-renowned Coldwell Banker' brand is further expanding its presence in Ontario, as an established Georgetown real estate operation formerly known as The Desjardins Team joins the franchise network. The brand's newest affiliate will operate as Coldwell Banker Fieldstone Realty, effective immediately. The new company joins the global Coldwell Banker network of 3100 real estate offices and more than 82,000 real estate professionals worldwide.

Owner and Broker of Record Evan DeBrincat leads the new company, with an operation of five experienced sales professionals and a support team led by Office Administrator and Client Care Coordinator Sarah DeBrincat. The sales team consists of Evan DeBrincat, Martha Bonanno, Samantha Read, Monica Darabos and Steve Nyarady.

The new Coldwell Banker Fieldstone Realty has begun operation and plans to hold a kick-off event to celebrate their new identity later this summer, which will be attended by Coldwell Banker national leadership. "We're all very excited about making the move to Coldwell Banker, and recognize that it is an important step for the future success of our company," Evan DeBrincat explains. The local brokerage has already established a solid reputation marketing its services as The Desjardins Team, servicing Georgetown and the surrounding Halton Hills area since 1989. Now as a Coldwell Banker affiliate, the brokerage will continue to operate out of their existing premises located at 78 Main Street South, a well known and highly trafficked location, in the old Bank building in the heart of downtown Georgetown. Phone and fax numbers remain unchanged, as well as the operation's website address www.georgetownhomes.ca

Moments in History

This building operates on the site of the former Bennet House Hotel (1863). The present building was erected in 1918 by The Merchant's Bank of Canada (Bank of Montreal). The bank occupied the building until 1943 when it was forced to close due to war regulations. The property was then used by Town Council until it was purchased by the Royal Bank in 1947. RBC used the site until 1973 when it moved across the street. Past owners include J. Pratt, T. Bennett and J. Coffen.
