Shona Ryce - Accountants on Main
Shona moved to Georgetown in 2016 and was instantly captivated by the small town community, shops, and many local events.
Prior to her current position, Shona served as an Operations Manager and Human Resource Generalist, sometimes juggling the two, in the cellular industry for 5 years. This provided Shona with the experience and opportunity to gain knowledge of project management from planning to execution; as well as leadership, training and development abilities. During this time she also served on the social committee for a few years planning social events.
Shona is a jack of all trades with a college diploma in Office Administration specializing in Legal, Human Resources for Small Business Certificate, Lean Six Sigma Certificate, Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate; and most currently expanding her knowledge and understanding of project management while enrolled at Sheridan College Project Management Program.
Shona has a love for the outdoors, including sports activities, if she is not in the gym working out or camping with family & friends she is cycling - summer and winter-, ice-skating, dogsledding, swimming or out exploring some new adventure. She also joined the Kelso Mountain Bike Series Race in 2017.
Cindy Robinson - BIA Treasurer

Ted Flanagan operates the Caldwell Financial Office at 67 Main St. S., Georgetown. Caldwell is a full-service stock brokerage company with its own investment management division and offers insurance solutions. Ted is an investment advisor and insurance agent. He has sat on the Downtown Georgetown BIA for a number of years. Ted welcomes conversations with anyone that may have input for the Downtown Georgetown BIA.
Sheena joined the Downtown Georgetown BIA in the role of Manager in November 2017. For three seasons Sheena served as the Georgetown Farmers Market Manager and was a key contributor to the Main Market Collective, a pop-up project which showcased our Farmers' Market artisans and helped to fill underutilized retail space in Downtown Georgetown. Most recently, she was the Acton BIA manager where her major achievements included leading Acton through the final development and first year of execution for its Strategic Plan which included working closely with the Town of Halton Hills. She coordinated multiple major events, such as the Acton Leathertown Festival. Sheena has valuable experience, knowledge and a passion for Downtown Georgetown!
Beverley King - Board Chair
BilI has been a member of the Georgetown BIA since 2002 and has always been involved in any community he lived in. Some of Bill's achievements include being the Group Committee Chairman for Boy Scouts of Canada, successfully running fundraisers for Brampton Figure Skating Club, and coaching rep league hockey in Brampton and Toronto for 10 years. Most recently, for the past 5 years, he has been a member of The Kinsmen Club of Georgetown. Bill has a long career in the wholesale business (1977-2007) and has been a retailer since 2007. Bill brings much in the way of business knowledge and experience to his position on the Georgetown BIA.
Randy Kerman - Secretary
Jane Fogal was first elected to Halton Hills Town Council in 1998 and was appointed to the BIA at that time. She served on the BIA board until 2010 and after 5 years was reappointed in 2015. Jane brings to the table valuable knowledge of municipal resources and processes.
As an advocate for healthy living including cycling and walking, Jane supports making Georgetown more bicycle and pedestrian friendly. She chairs the Bicycle Friendly Halton Hills Committee, who organizes the annual 'Bike-it to the Market' in partnership with the Georgetown Farmers Market and advocates for trail development and connectivity in Halton Hills. Jane is also a volunteer member of the Halton Hills Cultural Roundtable that promotes cultural activity in the downtown core.
Sandy Mackenzie - Vice Chair
Sandy was born and raised, in Downtown Georgetown. He has worked, constructed buildings, run family-owned businesses and made merry in Downtown Georgetown his entire life. Sandy has held a seat on Town Council and is past chair of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce. If you ever played rugby in Georgetown then Sandy has coached you. Sandy has sat on and chaired many community committees and projects and has been on the BIA for a number of terms. Sandy is the BIA’s personal “in-house expert” for all things Georgetown and especially Downtown Georgetown.
